Abou Tintino is a honey-voiced singer poised to emerge into the international spotlight as Salsa Africain continues to escalate in popularity worldwide. His first CD release, "Salsa Pa Abidjan" (Rue Princess RP10), established his niche reviving the biggest all-time hits from Côte d'Ivoire and interpreting them into Salsa. Every song is a proven winner.
Tintino's second release will be an historic co-production between Showbiz Productions in Côte d'Ivoire and Musique Tropique in the United States. Showbiz is recording the basic instrumental tracks and vocals in Abidjan. After the basic tracks are recorded, Musique Tropique will do additional recording, and then mix and master the final product.
The completion of this project, and consequently the release of Tintino's second CD entitled "Salsa Côte d'Ivoire", has been delayed by the sudden recent volatile political situation in Côte d'Ivoire, which heretofore had been a rare oasis of political and economic stability in Africa. These conditions have delayed not only the recording project, but also the accumulation of more detailed biographical information on Tintino.
